James is now going to get to the heart of all our issues as humans, that is, the sinful desires of our heart. This is where all our sinful actions originate. As we identify the source of our problems, we are faced with having to live within the reality of these problems and among people with some of the same issues, leading to a struggle of being in the world but not of the world. Thankfully, God offers us a solution to our problems...draw nearer to Him.
