The Paradox of Christian Victory
David Brink | Associate Pastor
Throughout history, God has loved to display His power through weakness. The life and ministry of the Apostle Paul represents this well. There was not much that externally appeared glorious about his ministry and yet the gospel still went forth. Paul presents us with a paradox of sorts, ordinary vessels are used by a God with extraordinary power and it produces an eternal weight of glory. This is not done arbitrarily, rather it beautifully displays the glory of God.

Reflection Questions

  1. Why should we be ok with simply being “clay jars?”
  2. What are some challenges to focusing on the unseen rather than what we can physically see?
