A Beautiful Eulogy
John 13:1-4; 21-28
Will Soto | Guest Speaker
John 13 sets off a countdown to the final hours of Jesus' life. What begins as a beautiful expression of love, (washing the disciples' feet) quickly turns ominous as Jesus tells of His betrayal at the hands of one of His own. Despite this, Jesus' life serves as a beautiful eulogy--and His instructions ensure that we, too, have the same eulogy.

outline
- As God’s people, we are motivated by a genuine love for Jesus-who continually demonstrates His love for us-resulting in a genuine, sacrificial love for others.
Reflection Questions
- In what ways did the life and ministry of Christ reveal the depth of His love for people? How does this impact your understanding of Him?
- How can we “love as I have loved you?” What does this type of love require of us?
- What does sacrificial love actually look like? How have you been the recipient of this type of love–and how have you shown it to others?
