The 9 to 5 Window

How would you like to experience Christ where you spend 60 to 70 percent of your time?

How would you like to be used as instruments to help transform your family, your workplace, and your city for Jesus Christ?

We spend 60 to 70 percent of our waking hours in the workplace; the “9 to 5 Window”.  The “9 to 5 Window” represents our greatest missions field with the largest number of unreached people. These people have the power to impact the entire world for Jesus Christ.  Unfortunately, most of us who live in this “9 to 5 Window” do not understand our high calling and ministry in and through our work life.

The Hill is awakening the sleeping giant which is the body of Christ – the church in the workplace.  The Hill will help you realize your workplace calling and make clear your role and function in the body of Christ.

There is a fresh Holy Spirit wind blowing through the body of Christ today in the workplace.  The Hill believes by equipping workplace believers true transformation can be accomplished that could impact the Church as greatly as the early reformation did.

The Hill is passionate about workplace discipleship.  The Hill’s focus in equipping the body is inclusive. We are dedicated to helping all believer’s who work. We define work inclusively to include all forms of work and all occupations whether you're a CEO or a stay-at-home mother.

The Hill believes the following to be true about your work:

  1.  Every follower of Christ is in “full-time” ministry.  Every believer is a minister.
  2. Your individual “calling” is principal to everything we do. We are first called to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, then a fruitful ministry that flows from this relationship. Our work is one major focus of this calling and thus is ordained by God for His purposes.
  3. The separation and division of a “sacred” calling from a “secular” calling is counter productive and a non scriptural view of a person’s role in the Church body.
  4. God is a worker.  God views work in the world as an act of worship to Him, and a crucial platform for reaching the world for Christ. Work was created by God and is a holy calling. (John 5:17)
  5. Your work platform is your largest mission field, and is where you spend 60 to 70% of your waking hours and interact with the majority of your relationships.
  6. The Hill (the local church) is called to equip and empower God’s people to do the “work of ministry” through their whole life, including their work. (Ephesians 4:11-12)
  7. The Hill (the local church) is God’s institution for corporate ministry, and a believer’s life at work (ministry) should be an active and integral extension of The Hill's ministry and mission.
